تقييم أداء المنظمات البيئية: دراسة تطبيقية على مؤسسة الشتلة الخضراء في منطقة الجبل الأخضر باستخدام تحليل SWOT

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the performance of the Green Seedling Foundation in the Jabal Al Akhdar region - Al Bayda - Libya, using the SWOT analysis method. This is done by identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing the organization. The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, through an electronic questionnaire that included all 14 members of the organization. The results showed that the organization has prominent strengths, as (93%) of the sample believe that it implements effective environmental awareness programmes, (93%) confirmed the availability of specialized human competencies, and (100%) indicated its ability to attract volunteers, in addition to its high societal credibility. On the other hand, the results highlighted the presence of weaknesses, the most important of which is limited funding (100%), weak long-term strategic planning (71%), in addition to weak environmental impact measurement (65%). The study also showed the presence of promising opportunities, most notably the possibility of employing digital technologies (86%), strengthening partnerships with government agencies (100%), and cooperating with the private sector (86%). While the most prominent threats were community resistance to some environmental changes (86), dispersion of government support (79%), and competition between organizations for resources (79%). The study concluded the need to enhance strategic planning, diversify funding sources, and activate partnerships, which will contribute to improving the efficiency and sustainability of environmental work.
