Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of FinTech on financial inclusion in developing countries amid regulatory and structural challenges. Using a descriptive analytical approach and secondary data for 2017–2025, it finds that mobile wallets, digital identity systems, and alternative-data credit scoring have increased account ownership and formal savings and reduced gender and geographic gaps. Progress remains constrained by regulatory rigidity, weak infrastructure, and cybersecurity risks. The study recommends flexible regulation, public–private partnerships, and stronger digital financial literacy.
