Literary text, its characteristics, its issuesAbstract
A literary text is a form of linguistic achievement governed by its own system—a written system that cannot be equated with a purely linguistic system. This written system is characterized by its creative nature, as it possesses essential elements: imagery, ideas, and textual expression. A literary text has two aspects: its verbal and its semantic dimensions. Generally speaking, textual analysis transcends linguistics, rhetorical standards, and the dominance of literary criticism. The text is connected to a range of disciplines; it stimulates linguistic research, advances critical theory, incorporates stylistics, engages psychology, and draws upon history. Furthermore, adherence to reality is paramount. The poet is committed to their reality, attentive to their art, and capable of imbuing it with enduring quality. Any call to force poetry to adhere to a single perspective is inherently biased and will undoubtedly lead to a repetitive and artificial formula, within which poetry will inevitably perish, even if this formula were to survive for a time .
