Postgraduate Studies in Sociology: Obstacles and Ways of Improvement from Faculty Members' Perspectives—A Qualitative Study at the Benghazi and Al-Marj Branches of the Libyan Academy

Abstract

This qualitative study examines postgraduate sociology programs and the obstacles affecting their quality from faculty members' perspectives at the Benghazi and Al-Marj branches of the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies. It identifies academic, administrative, and research constraints, including limited references and journals, inadequate scientific equipment, weak applied training, and unstable regulations. It recommends improving regulations and curricula, expanding research and technical resources, and strengthening the connection between theoretical preparation and field practice.
