This study examines the exegetical preferences of Sheikh Ahmad Abd al-Salam Abu Muzayriq in his book Irshad al-Hayran ila Tawjihat al-Qur'an. It analyzes these preferences, compares them with the opinions of leading Qur'anic exegetes, and identifies areas of agreement and disagreement while highlighting the preponderant view. The study uses inductive, comparative, and analytical methods. It also introduces Sheikh Abu Muzayriq and his exegetical methodology and clarifies the concepts, formulations, and occurrences of selection and preference in his tafsir.
